Goat Yoga, it’s a thing.

Driving out to Black Prong is an experience in and upon itself, and I am incredibly lucky to have the excuse on a weekly basis. Just past Williston my phone goes out of service and I get to soak in the views across ranches with calves racing and napping. There are also paddocks dappled with grazing horses, some supremely adorable donkeys and one farm that has alpacas so white and fluffy that I think they look like poodles with their necks stretched. It reminds me of the value of our rural context – both tangible and intrinsic.

Black Prong is a place where people go to be in nature with their animals. I couldn’t believe it the first time I saw it. If you even know me a little, you know why. Dogs, horses, sheep, and goats all working, learning, & playing with people. The occasional fox squirrel runs through to keep it interesting. Some times I even get dogs in my weekly yoga class and it is perfection, and now I teach yoga with goats.
