Annual Christmas Tree Drop: Music & Goats – Fundraiser Event – January 10th, 2026

Posted on December 30, 2022December 19, 2025 By admin

8th Annual Christmas Tree Drop-off Fundraiser – One Day Only Event – Coming January 2026!

SIGN UP NOW

This year, we’re celebrating with extra gratitude! In August, we welcomed six rescued alpacas to Great Rock Farm thanks to the incredible team at MSPCA at Nevins Farm. To honor their support, proceeds from this year’s Christmas Tree Drop-Off will go to MSPCA, helping them continue their lifesaving work in animal care and adoption.

One-Day Only Event:
Saturday, January 10th, 2026
8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
* Goats To Go / Great Rock Farm – 201 Pond St, Georgetown, MA
* Please, no drop-offs outside event hours. Sorry we don’t do pickups

Reservation Fee: $7 per carload, non-refundable fee (Discount code emailed to returning participants)

Suggested Donation: $20+ per family/tree (cash/check upon arrival or Venmo in advance. Checks can be made out to MSPCA-Angell)

What’s Happening: The Farm is open for some Holiday Cheer at this Annual Fundraiser Event. Live Music: Enjoy live music by Lee Biddle & warming fires from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Goat Action: Watch the goats, alpacas, and llama as they entertain themselves, and us, as they nibble on the trees. We will have a merch table by Fainting Goat Tea and local organizations with information and concessions such as Emmaus, Inc and Georgetown Girl Scout, Troop 82937.

What to Bring:
* Tinsel- and ornament-free, non–fire retardant trees for our goats and farm friends (or just come without a tree, enjoy the farm, and make a donation).
* A spirit of giving! Please also bring your own hand sanitizer (note: no public restrooms available).
* Warm clothing suitable for winter farm conditions (expect snow, ice, or mud).
* Trees can only be dropped off during event hours (no outside visits)

Why Christmas Trees?

Our goats, sheep, alpacas, llama, and even chickens love Christmas trees as fun winter enrichment. They’ll nibble, rub, and play with the trees, which offer sensory stimulation in the cold months. While trees don’t replace hay and feed for our goats, they add excitement to the farm animals’ day. Goats’ rumens—bacterial “furnaces” within their digestive system—help keep them warm through winter as they break down food into energy.

Join us in making this season brighter by supporting MSPCA at Nevins Farm. Share the joy of giving, keep the holiday cheer alive, and celebrate with your family, friends, and farm animals!
