Goatscaping Pricing & Process FAQ

Every project is custom-quoted based on your land, location, terrain, and goals. We use goats, sheep, or a mix of both to create the most effective and eco-friendly solution, so pricing reflects what your specific project requires.

Projects generally start at $1,200 for an average residential backyard within 8 miles and 30 minutes of our Georgetown farm. Larger properties, longer timelines, or extended travel may increase the total cost.

The base setup cost (starting at $1,200) includes delivery of goats or sheep, professional electric fencing setup, food and water, animal care and monitoring, and removal of all animals and equipment at the end of the project.

Yes. A site visit is required to accurately assess terrain, vegetation, access points, and safety considerations. This ensures the animals are happy, safe, and set up for success on your property.

Most projects run a minimum of two days and typically include 8–10 goats and/or sheep. Additional days are commonly added as needed and are generally billed at $150 per day, which is factored into your custom quote.

Occasionally, light human-assisted clearing is needed to prepare access paths or fence lines. When required, this is billed at $50 per hour per helper and included in your quote.

We provide all necessary equipment, including electric net fencing designed to keep our animals safe and contained. We also supply shelter, water, and power solutions, and can accommodate sites without utilities when planned in advance.

Our biggest concern is the safety of the animals. Domestic dogs must be kept away from the fencing, as even friendly dogs can stress or harm goats. We also evaluate vegetation to avoid poisonous plants whenever possible.

We prefer access to a domestic water hose and an electrical outlet for setup. If utilities aren’t available, we can bring batteries and a water tank on our trailer/shelter to support the animals. Advance notice is required so we can properly plan and ensure the animals are safe and comfortable.

We take extensive precautions to ensure animal safety. In the unlikely event an animal is injured, the cost of veterinary care is the responsibility of the property owner. If an animal is stolen or harmed, a fee of $300 per animal applies.
